How is it already October 1st? It feels like I was just doing the update for last moon and yet here we are with another moon change! Things have been moving along steadily despite me going a little MIA when I got sick, which is lovely to see! In any case, here is a bit of an update post to keep everyone up to speed as we begin the Prey Moon 2021!
As we have now passed from the Flower Moon 2021 and into the Prey Moon 2021, it is time for an Age Up! You can see more information on that in the official Age Up thread and hopefully we can all get our characters updated ASAP. There is a bit of a change to Age Ups this moon as well, so be sure to read carefully!
Also as a general note for anyone with ongoing threads still set in the Flower Moon or before, feel free to keep those going! We don’t prohibit threads taking place in the past, as they can help flesh out characters and histories. However, we do encourage everyone to prioritize threads taking place in the current time, the Prey Moon!
I am also excited to announce that after a long time of being dormant, the Info Drive is back up and running! We’re using a slightly different format this time, with 5 different items being open for feedback all moon long. This moon’s choices are as follows:
Please add your thoughts on the above if you're up for it! If you have an idea for a future Info Drive choice, feel free to let a staff member know and we can see about adding it to the list.
There is not much in terms of big plot news this moon, as most threads were more personal between one or two cats. We’re still waiting to see the outcome of the Moonstone Prophecy, but I’m guessing we should see some progress on that front this moon! Most of the prophecy cats are milling about, and have told at least one other cat about the message they’ve received, but none have made contact with each other yet.
In terms of weather, greenleaf is officially here! This moon we’ll be seeing the longest day of the year, and the forest is lush and green as a result. True to this moon’s name, prey will be plentiful and no cat will go hungry during such a time of abundance. Hopefully this should help ease some of the conflicts taking place, but perhaps good circumstances can only take cats so far. In any case, enjoy the good weather while it lasts!
We’ve seen an absolute explosion of new members in the past moon or so and I’d like to extend a warm welcome to everyone who has joined recently! Most of you have settled in and made characters already, but even to those who haven’t, we’re so glad to have you <3
I do have some rather unfortunate news that Zesha will be stepping down from our staff team, due to personal circumstances, but thankfully she’ll be staying with us as a member so we can all still write together! Here’s hoping life is kinder to you soon, Zesha <3
Aside from that, there’s not too much else to say! Thanks for sticking around ny’all, and here’s to a fun moon!
