Hi everyone! Happy July~ With the start of the month, I’ve got some more news for you all!
As you know, our staff applications closed roughly a week ago on June 23rd. As a result I am very pleased to announce we have a new staff member joining our team!
Starting today, Solaris will be joining us as both a General Moderator and a Timeline Moderator! Please join me in congratulating them and welcoming them to the team 💕 Sol has long been a very active and enthusiastic part of the community, often going above and beyond as a member. I’m looking forward to having them officially on the staff team!
With staff applications now complete, it’s time to get started in our final phase of coming out of hiatus! Here I’ll do a quick rundown on what’s going to be happening over the course of the next month.
- We’ll be starting with a full Character Audit. Essentially, a fancy way of saying we’ll be figuring out who’s still active and who’s not, and with which characters. If you’re a returning member who plans on staying, please give your input here! The Character Audit will be running for roughly two weeks, until the end of the day on July 15, so please get your replies in before then!
- We’ll also be doing a full thread audit. Same as the above, this just means we’ll be going through all the threads that were active prior to the hiatus and figuring out which ones we’re keeping, what the summaries will be, if we want to retcon them out, and generally tying up loose ends. Once the Character Audit is complete and we know who’s around, a new thread will be made where we’ll be asking members to help us figure out what to do with their threads. Keep an eye out!
- During all of this, staff will also be doing general site cleanup. Fixing outdated documentation threads, bringing the Timeline up to date, and filling in gaps in the site, that sort of thing. The goal is to use July as a preparation month so everything can be sparkly and ready for us to get things moving smoothly again!
- On August 1st, we will be officially coming out of hiatus with a long-overdue Moon Update! This means all existing characters will once again grow older by one moon, and more importantly, new player registration and character creation will reopen. At this point, things should start operating more-or-less as they were pre-hiatus.
I’m so excited to start building this story with everyone again, and making new plots and friends along the way! Come August, there’ll be another update post as per usual, where we’ll detail everything that’s been decided on. Until then, thanks all for sticking with us! 💕
