Hello all! It’s been a while, huh? I hope you’re all doing well and that 2024 is treating you kindly ♥️ This is much later than I had originally planned, due to lots of personal stuff happening, but I’m looking at potentially getting the site rolling again in the next few months. As such, I wanted to do a check in and see how many of y’all are still interested! If you are, please reply to this thread just so I know who’s around! You’re also invited to hop into the shoutbox to liven things up a little bit. It’ll still be some time until any real updates, but I’m looking forward to getting a gauge on how existing members are feeling these days. I’d especially love to know which characters everyone would like to keep in the event we do come out of hiatus, for planning purposes. But if you don’t have any characters yet that’s fine too! You can also just let us know what you’ve been up to the past little while~ Thanks all! Edit: Just gonna keep track of who we've heard from and not here, as well as what's happening with any characters they may have! Legend - Kept: Characters the player is keeping to write with.
- NPC: Characters the player is converting to an NPC. When the next Moon Update happens, they will be officially converted to an NPC following the usual procedure and cannot be converted back until at least two IRL months have passed. If you'd like your character to be written out as having disappeared, etc but still keep their old threads, they will also fall under this category.
- Retcon: These characters will be removed from the game entirely, including any old interactions in previous threads. It will be as if they never existed. Players are welcome to submit the character again at a later date, however they will have to go through the approvals process again and will be treated as a brand new character. Choose with caution!
- TBD: To be determined.

I'm very late in following up on this, but wow, May was a doozy. In any case, I'm so glad to see so many people interested in coming back! <3 I'm still trying to decide which characters I'll be keeping, myself (because although I'd like to keep them all I know that's a recipe for quick burnout again, ha) but I know for sure that I'm going to be keeping Shellspots and Cecil, as well as Dawn, because plots! As for others... we'll see. Depending on what other people want to do with their cats, and adopts and all that, I might pull some from existence entirely and use the NPC conversion mechanic for others to work back up to having them. Solaris Zesha Riley Since y'all had high rank characters in the works, who all are you planning on keeping? Doesn't need to be a final list, I'm just curious who you've got in mind. I might try to get in touch with Sigh and Cel too and see if they're still interested, dependent on how well my brain decides to function going forward ^^; |

I would definitely be keeping Roots and Rat! Currently my list of keepers are Roots, Rat, Bayou, and Prowl. Characters like Loon or Luna are dependent on adopts with other players, so I’ll do whatever the players decide to do with their characters. Vulture, I believe was related to an adopted who was put on hiatus, and as a result, I don’t think I would continue playing him. Crackle, I’m still unsure if I want to play as them or not, but I definitely want to keep them around. If they aren’t a player character, they will be an adopt. Finch and Blade I want to keep as npcs. Snowy and Moth can go though.

Well, I heard back from Cel and it sounds like she won't be coming back, but still waiting to hear from Sigh!
Sol: Yay for Roots, Rat, Bayou, and Prowl! Those definitely feel like the most prominent of your cats. As for Loon, she was Ducky's sister you adopted, yeah? I was thinking of maybe just retconning him out for now if you're up for doing the same with Loon. I might bring him back in the future, but for now I have too many 💀 But if you'd prefer to keep her as an NPC I can do the same with Ducky!
So for Snowy and Moth, did you just want to write them out entirely? Just keeping a bit of a tally on who's going to be around.

We've got time! No word from Gala I'm afraid. I haven't messaged anyone except those who were slated to play high positions, as I figure they would have gotten the mass email back in May and Discord server pings as we go along, and I don't want to be too much of a bother. Here's hoping most come back though! Edit: I added a table to keep track of who's keeping which characters and who's coming back! Hopefully this makes it easier for people do decide which category their characters fall into. |
