Name: Amaryllis
Desired Name: Frostfall
Allegiance: Solitaries
Rank: Loner
Age: 34
Birth Moon: Flowermoon 2018
Sex: Male
Appearance:
A large white long furred tom with blue eyes
Personality:
Clever - Honest - Loyal - Insightful - Quiet - Stubborn - Stern - Aloof - Reserved - Blunt
Amaryllis has a rather clever mind, always finding ways to get out of a tricky situation, knows how to direct more violent situations in a direction he'd like it to go if needed. It's very rare to see him unable to figure something out, but in the event he couldn't, Amaryllis wouldn't hold his tongue about it. For the tom cat is rather honest not the type to tell lies, especially with the possibility that such lies would bring danger to those close to him, but that doesn't mean you can't trust him with a secret. For he's as loyal as they come, if he is told to keep quiet, he will, even with the threat of his own life Amaryllis will stand with those close to him until the end of times. Never faltering. But be careful with what you speak around the tom cat, for he has the habit of reading into others, memorizing their mannerisms and speech patterns, if one thing seems off, there could be a chance he'd be able to catch it and call you out on it.
But lucky for you, Amaryllis is on the more quiet side he prefers to keep silent unless he feels the need to speak out. Only engaging in friendly conversation when it comes to those who have gained his trust and friendship, keeping others at a safe distance. Although others at times believe him to be difficult to get along with due to his stubborn nature, one cannot easily sway this tom away from his goal once he's set his eyes on it, because of this it can be hard to get him to listen to reason if he, himself, cannot find any reason to listen. Not to mention how aloof and standoffish he can be, sticking to one place and never bothering to make friends beyond what he has, most don't find it worth it to speak with him due to his short words. He's reserved as one can get, not easily revealing his past or things about him unless he feels the need to, most of the time he tries to get the other to talk about themselves so he can learn rather than talk about himself. Despite the honesty, he can be blunt and cruel in most ways, not afraid to tell you how he feels or why he feels it if you do get him talking.
But overall if you manage to gain this tom's trust and befriend him, you'll have a friend for life.
History:
Amaryllis was brought into the world full of life and already with a spirit of fire and survival. His littermates had barely made it passed a week before they died within their young slumber, a sickness overtaking them. Yet Amaryllis remained strong as ever, sticking close to the warmth of his mother almost as if he could hear his mother's pleading words toward him, begging the kit to remain strong and keep fighting no matter the cost. And he did. Proving himself to be a true warrior at heart, while his mother would use this as a reminder of how strong and incredible her kit was, his father used it as something else..
The moment Amaryllis was able to speak and walk on his own without the help of his mother or the protection of his father. He was already learning how to fend for himself, his father's lesson far from kind as he taught him about the world around him. Words of venom were spoken about how cruel it was and how it was every cat for themselves out here no matter what others may tell him. He was to trust only him and his mother, everybody else would only betrayal him for their own gain. Crow's physical teachings showed no kindness as well, often forcing Amaryllis to practice fighting until near exhaustion, if he failed to do a certain task right. His father would make sure to belittle him, telling the tom about how he'd never make it in the real world if he kept this act of his up. During the nights his mother would keep him close and whisper lullabies into his ear for him to sleep, he never noticed the glares she'd give toward Crow during those moments, tail curled around him protectively.
As Amaryllis grew older the more standish off he became, even toward his own mother, who could only watch with a sadden gaze as her son grew to become cold due to his father's teachings. But despite this, he still showed a hint of kindness toward others, bringing his mother food when she became to grow sick, searching for any herbs that may aid her despite the little knowledge he had in them. Amaryllis would begin to ditch his father's teachings in favor of spending time with his sick mother, apologizing for his recent attitude toward her, singing those same lullabies to her that she'd sing to him whenever he was scared as young kit. Giving those same glares to his own father while he did so, refusing to allow him to ruin what may be his last moments with his mother. Amaryllis' kept his tail curled around his mother, head resting on his neck, trying to hold back the tears in his eyes as he listened to her weakened breath, a single word being whispered to him as she passed away into the night. "Don't let him break your kindness."
After the death of his mother, Amaryllis left his father's side. Keeping her last words close to his heart, snapping at his father with cruel words, warning him that if he ever saw his sorry face again, he'd show no mercy for the things he forced him through. Leaving behind his previous home in search for something more.
