Noctus || Tom || 32 moons The air was still cold enough to freeze a cat's whiskers off, but Noctus had been lucky enough to find a decent mouse anyway. He'd been very careful not to kill it; he planned on taking it to his daughter's garden so she could practice her hunting skills. He'd been teaching all of his kits the proper stalking techniques inside their nests during the awful blizzard of last moon to pass the time, and now they were ready for the next step.
The tom made his way to Bluebell's nest, the mouse beginning to come out of its dazed state and wriggling in an effort to get away. But his teeth were clamped securely around it. He leaped down lightly from the fence and set the creature on the ground, holding it in place with a paw. Twolegs had a habit of clearing the snow out of their gardens, which would make this much easier for Bluebell.
"Bluebell? Are you there?"
He kept his voice low, not wanting to bring her housefolk running to watch this particular lesson. He'd learned fairly quickly when he first met Bluebell's mother that twolegs did not appreciate a nice warm mouse the same way cats did. He had brought her something to eat, wanting to show he cared for her, and left it right on the front step as he yowled to announce his arrival. One of Dahlia's twolegs showed up before she did, and Noctus could still hear the screech ringing in his ears from that day. He'd been shooed away with the end of a broom, forced to leave his catch before he could be sure Dahlia got it. He could only imagine the chaos if Bluebell's housefolk saw that this one was still alive. They'd have a fit. No, he wouldn't make that mistake twice.

Shortee Here you go! I figured this might be a fun little father/daughter thread~ Since Lily's been begging for hunting/fighting lessons, I imagine Bluebell wouldn't be too different xD Take your time in replying, I don't mind waiting if you've got other stuff going on!

BLUEBELL Sunlight filtered in through the window Bluebell slept by. The light hitting her fur was so comfortable, she truthfully felt like sleeping the day away. But she was Bluebell, a hyperactive she-cat with too much curiosity. She should get up and go outside, maybe even practice her battling! But that sounded like a lot of work, and it's not like there was anything to do outside... Just as her eyes were fluttering closed again, she heard a familiar voice sound outside her window. As soon as the voice registered in her head, the she-cat shot up from her curled up position. Excitement flowed through her, because if her Dad was here, it could only mean good things! Quickly and quietly (so as though not to bring attention of her whereabouts to her housefolk), she slipped through the square hole in the back door and out into the garden. Bluebell's gaze immediately landed on the dark fur of Noctus. She rushed over, a grin on her face. It was easy to ignore the chilly air when her father came to visit, that's for sure. As she neared, the Siamese noticed a shape wriggling underneath Noctus' paw. Her grin grew even wider (if that was even possible) when she realized what was going on. " Hi Dad! I see that Lily's begging worked?" The small she-cat laughed, knowing full well that she had badgered him just as much as her sister had. Her gaze traveled down to the creature pinned down, her eagerness to learn how to hunt only intensifying. MADE BY ★MEULK

Noctus || Tom || 32 moons It didn’t take long for a little face to appear through the door flap, though Noctus admitted quietly to himself that she wasn’t really that little anymore. Yes, she was still the smallest of her siblings; he suspected that would never change, and it only made him want to spoil her all the more. But her limbs were growing longer each day, her kitten fluff giving way to sleek, smooth fur. Soon enough, she’d be an adult. The thought made his head spin a little.
It feels like yesterday she was just a scrap of fur at her mother's belly. Time is passing too quickly, he mused, watching her slip through the opening in the door and dart forward to meet him. Have I really been here nearly a year already?
He hoped that she would still want him to come by and share bits of the forest with her, even when she was grown and had a life of her own.
Noctus grinned at the easy deflection of responsibility to Lily. Yes, Bluebell had been such a contrast, with her unending patience. Not. The two of them had nearly knocked him over with their begging, chattering his ears off about being ready for something new. They weren’t wrong, he supposed. It had been a long moon cooped up in their twoleg nests by the storms, and they were clearly restless. He wasn’t ready to tackle the idea of battle training just yet, preferring to wait until the weather warmed up just a bit more -- if he could put it off forever he would -- and Flare could help him wrangle the four rambunctious kits. Until then, this was the next best thing.
“Yes, your sister made it very clear that she was tired of practicing the ‘same old boring stalking techniques’, as she would say,” he played along. “So, I thought we’d try something different today.”
The tom watched as his daughter’s gaze drifted to the little creature trapped beneath his paw.
”Do you remember the proper way of stalking mice?” He prompted her. “This will be a little different than out in the woods, since the mouse already knows we’re here, but you can still practice to get the hang of it.” His tail twitched slightly in anticipation. He hoped the mouse wouldn’t be too fast, disappearing through some hole in the fence before Bluebell had a chance to pounce. He had let his claws nick the creature when he caught it, and hopefully that would slow it down a little.
Giving her a moment to prepare herself, Noctus lifted his paw and let the mouse waddle free.
