Over the course of a cat's life, there were many important decisions that someone might make. Usually, these decisions were such things as "do I want a mate?" or "do I want to have kits?" or "where do I want to live?" Rarely was one of those decisions something like "Should I be standing at the side of a fairly busy road in the middle of the day with several inches of snow on the ground?" This was, naturally, something that a normal cat would have considered in depth before doing. Strawberry, of course, had given it absolutely no thought whatsoever and was actually rather uncomfortable. However, she was currently being consumed by curiosity.
Those were rather interesting mountains, after all. They were spiked and full of crevices that had interesting things to look at, and everything was currently covered with snow such that the larger caves were more easily visible and the ground was sure to be even. The only problem was crossing the road, which was more of a non-issue because the snow was still too heavy for cars to drive through, but Strawberry didn't exactly know that. She just knew that cars drove here a lot, and that she would have been rather upset to be plucked out of the snow and carried back to wherever she'd come from when there were plenty of secrets to be found here.
She watched a small bird who seemed to be braving the snow as it landed on the rocks across the way. It looked at the ground suspiciously, and then looked over the road and directly at Strawberry. She did sort of stick out, to be fair. "HELLO!" she called, because it was rude to ignore people who were looking at you. The bird, of course, did not reply, and simply stared at her for a while before deciding she was too far away to mean him any harm and continued to go about his business.
