Stormbringer Osprey
[attr="class","familiartext"]
Date: Day 1, Shadow Moon 2020
Though frost had yet to settle upon the earth, one could easily tell that the days were growing colder, and the nights longer, as leafbare approached. Yet even so, despite the bitterness that most felt toward this time, shunning it to curl up safely in their nests, there was one such feline who embraced the eerie silence of dusk. It was she who padded calmly and quietly through the night, long, dense fur barring the icy breeze from biting at her skin as she wove a path through the uncharted marshlands.
Though Osprey’s every step seemed to ooze confidence, there was still a caution to the way she placed her paws. Normally, this caution only came with the practice of stealth, though for the moment she had no intent of hiding away. No, The Conquerors had learned the hard way a few days back that this marsh was not easy to navigate, and until they managed to settle and map out the best paths to anywhere they may need to go, they would have to take caution where they step. Thus, each paw she placed would land gently, seeking dry ground beneath her pads before she would allow her weight to shift. It was slow going, but it was necessary.
At least their temporary home would be well guarded. And, depending how well it may serve them, perhaps she might seek to make it a little less temporary.
At the thought, an image crept into her mind of the many foolish cats who had tried to get in her way before, and she felt a sudden pull to scan her surroundings. Heeding the call, Osprey paused, and lifted her nose to the breeze. Mouth parting just slightly, the molly allowed unfamiliar scents to sweep over her, breathing them in like that of prey. It was a little harder than usual to catch the scent of feline among all the new and overpowering smells, but once she did, she could tell it was fresh. Maw curling in satisfaction and tail raising confidently, Osprey allowed her nose to lead her eyes toward their quarry.
There. A shadow in the dark caught her eye and, silently, she beckoned them.
