Appearance: Hollow is a wiry she-cat with long, lean legs emerging from a thin but well-muscled torso. Her fur is short and coarse and of a deep brown color—almost black, although in direct sunlight her coat is a rich, warm brown. The slant of Hollow's large green eyes grant her a somewhat mournful appearance, especially when considered in the context of her oddly-proportioned face; the gap between her eyes and nose is fairly large for such a small head. Although the size of Hollow's head is only really small in comparison to her ears, which are large enough to give her the appearance of an overgrown kit rather than the adult that she truly is.
Personality: Desperate for companionship but patently untrusting, Hollow can be difficult to get a read on. She vacillates between open friendliness and suspicion. Any potential friend is also a potential enemy; the two are not mutually exclusive, as she has learned from her somewhat unconventional upbringing. Still, she finds it hard to suppress an intense curiosity for other cats and the lives they lead—a curiosity which, combined with her understanding of strength in numbers, drives her to reach out to those around her.
History: Presumably abandoned by her family, Hollow was discovered as a kit in the hollow base of an old tree by a pair of twin toms, Chester and Merry. Although the two were barely past their sixth moon themselves, they took Hollow in and raised her as something of a younger sibling. The three of them mostly kept to themselves, and Hollow grew up with little in the way of company aside from her two brothers—who were often too busy arguing to instill in Hollow any sense of true companionship. Still, the three of them looked out for each other, hunting and guarding against the myriad threats of the forest. Unfortunately, the arguments between Chester and Merry continued to escalate over the moons, until one argument turned particularly sour—and bloody. With Hollow as a witness, Chester and Merry fought for one last time, Merry falling victim to his brother's claws. Hollow fled the scene before Chester could recover, and she still wonders whether or not the wounds he sustained in the fight were enough to spell his end as well; she hasn't seen hide or hair of her brother since.
Hollow has now been on her own for about eight moons, continuing to subsist off of the forest as her brothers taught her—but warier of both threats and potential allies.
