Name: Snowy
Desired Name: Crowflame
Allegiance: Kittypet
Rank: N/A
Age: 10 moons
Birth Moon: Flower Moon 2020
Sex: She-cat
Appearance: With a name like Snowy, what other color would you expect this kit to be? Startlingly white, save a splash here and there of ginger and black. A slanting patch of black runs from the middle of her head, between her ears, ending just above her left eye. A light ginger patch marks the top of her head, avoiding her right ear but surrounding the top half of her right eye, and stretching to color the base of her left ear. Her tail is ginger at the base, gradually giving way to black, with a tuft of ginger at the tip.
Her ears are on the larger side for now, coming to a shapely point; her nose is a typical pink and her eyes are bright blue.
Personality: Snowy has a fairly typical personality for a young cat: a seemingly boundless well of energy keeps her going for play with her housefolks’ kits that can get a bit rough. When she lived with her family, she was often quite bossy with her brother and sister, which resulted in fairly loud and frequent squabbles with them.
Despite her fur, the stark white with the splashes of black and ginger, Snowy doesn’t give a mouse’s tail for her supposed beauty. Beauty doesn’t help her catch prey (the strings and toys offered by her housefolk), so what good is it? Claws, teeth and strength: these things matter far more than how spotless her fur is, and she’ll claw anyone who tries to treat her like she’s soft.
Her kit-like enthusiasm might land her in trouble now and then- as much as her ignorance of what the world is really like. Another problem is that Snowy doesn’t really have a solid grasp on the difference between bravery and recklessness, and her answer to every problem is to tackle it head-on, claws out as she charges in foolishly.
When she gets very excited, Snowy has a tendency to talk in a rush to get her point across as quickly as possible, only to smash her words together and mix them up so that she hardly makes any sense, requiring her to take a breath and calm down so she’s actually able to be understood.
History: Snowy doesn’t really care how her mother and father ended up together, no matter how often her mother tried to share the story: she might stick around for a sentence or two before something else caught her attention and she was off. She never met her father, though from the bits she learned from her mother made her realize they’d barely met either- a moon or so before he was gone, well before the kits came along.
Her eyes were the same bright blue as his, her mother told her often enough, to which she’d nod along before charging off once more.
At three moons she was taken from her mother and siblings and given to a new family, and this one had kits! Snowy, as she came to realize her name was, got along with them well, always ready to play when they were and all too happy to sprawl in a warm lap when they were worn out.
As she got older, however, she started growing more bored. The kits were great, but more and more she started to wonder- what lay beyond the walls of the den? What was out there that she might be able to see, smell, hear- do? Wasn’t there more to life than this same dull existence, day after day? She wants to know… and yet something is holding her back from leaving her housefolk for good.
