Gender: Androgyne (ve/vis/veir)

Moth is a quiet and reserved cat who is used to solitude, but yearns for connection with others, in spite of vis difficulty trusting strangers. To those ve cares about, often who are few and far, ve pledges an undying loyalty and commitment to care and compassion, even at the cost of unrequited affections. Moth is emotional, gentle and considerate, but sometimes vis sensitivity can lead to veir to neglecting vis own well-being. Ve is protective and a meticulous planner, sometimes too much so, and vis unwillingness for change and embracing fears can restrict others and push them away. Ve is also insecure and riddled with guilt about a past ve wants to forget and leave in the snow.
History:
Moth was a cowardish kit. The braver members of vis family were vis siblings, Beetle and Firefly, not Moth veirself. Ve lived on the sidelines, content to be safe with vis parents, Nestle and Barnes, inside the old fox burrow rather than playing in the forest. The world was simply too big and too scary to handle. Too many dangers, too many unknown factors… These anxieties worried vis parents, and they tried pushing Moth out of vis comfort zone.
But eventually, Moth and vis siblings outgrew the small burrow and had to move out. While journeying across the forest for a new home, Moth met a tom named Cricket and was instantly smitten by him, envying all the traits he had that ve didn’t. Of course, Moth kept the crush quiet, believing that ve would never see Cricket again. But in fact, Moth met Cricket multiple times, sporadic and unplanned. Sometimes by the creek by the new den, sometimes by the old sycamore. Moth fell deeper in love with each meeting. The worst part was how unpredictable the feeling of love was, how much it made veir feel so… helpless.
Moth left the den with Cricket, trying a paw at independence for once, and unwilling to stay with vis parents for forever (vis siblings, Beetle and Firefly had left when they turned 12 moons old). But at some vain attempt at showing maturity, Moth rushed into the relationship with Cricket.
At 15 moons of age, Moth and Cricket had kits, just as a harsh winter came upon them.
Cricket left, Moth abandoned the kits, unable to support them without external help. Alone, Moth wandered the forest. Alone. For several moons. Thinking, reminiscing, trapped in the past, locked in tunnels of echoes… It wasn’t until reconnecting with Firefly (Beetle had passed away a moon before) that ve found vis way back. Ve shed the fur of vis old past and embraced a new identity. Still terrified of change, Moth is slowly recovering from the grief of losing kits.
