River 30, 2021 | Sigh
Huh. Interesting. So the forest was like a mixture of the tunnels with its trippable underbrush and roots, and the moors with its open range of space. Viewing the forest with that perspective, it didn’t seem so whelming or monstrous as it did from distance. It must be one of those things where the only way to truly know was to be there. “What a fascinating hybrid between the tunnels and the moor! I guess I’ll know what to expect when I head into the forest.”
To them, entering the forest was an inevitability. If there was any place that could host a shiny rock in its midst, it had to the forest! There was no way that the sprawling lake of trees could not have anything remotely similar to the imagery invoked by the prophecy! They had deducted this information as a matter of probability, or… at least, some veiled understanding of it. Though, some shadows of doubt crept over the hair on their neck.
“A mine… a place with a lot of stone,” pondered Roots aloud. It nodded, glad to have had Hollow’s insight on the matter. “I think that makes sense! I mean, where else would you find a shiny rock, if not a place with stones? Do you know of any such area in the forest?”
“I’m not sure yet, if there’s anyone else around. For all I know, I could be the only cat on a fruitless quest to find some shiny stone—and all because of a dream!” But from the few bits of clan lore Roots learned from Fieldflight and Sunchaser, they were vaguely aware of the presence of other clans. Though, they couldn’t exactly remember their names. “But maybe there is. I hope there’s someone else out there who’s also looking for the stone…”

”Are prophecies always so mysterious?”“I guess so. It’s the first prophecy I’ve ever received,” they admitted. Why couldn’t Windstar simply tell them what to do, they would never know. Maybe Windstar should have chosen a better cat to follow the message… Any other cat could parse out the prophecy!
