]Teddy 6 Moons | He/Him | Solitary |
He thought he was going to visit the nice man who took care of him. But where was he? The usual scents he came to familiarize himself with the Vet were nowhere in the air. The sounds of chirping and the rustling of the breeze were his only company. He thought they were at the Vet already and that he'd be picked up in his little carrier and taken into the cool air but he had been placed somewhere else, and the sun only got hotter. He had heard the large beast he often rode in move away from him and then the silence; no voices, no movement, nothing but the outdoors. He was so confused, where was he? Where was his owner? The sun beat down on the empty stretch of road and it did nothing but bake him in his carrier. He was hot, the thickness of his short dense fur making it uncomfortable. Should he get out of the carrier and check out his surroundings? But what if he walked away and his owner came back to find him gone? What then? And so he stayed put, hiding away in the shade of his plastic box that did nothing to keep him cool as the sun rose higher and higher in the sky. When the thirst got to him and the rumbling of his tummy urging him Teddy hesitantly took his first steps through the metal bars of his cage. The ground was warm beneath his pads and it did nothing to soothe him. Where was his owner? Where was his mother and his siblings? Trying to hold back the unease the brown tom pushed forward; the shapes of dark structures blurry in his fading vision as he tried to gather his wits. He was somewhere outside, he remembered seeing large green trees beyond the window of his owner's nest before at times he'd sit at the window looking out. But these shapes were unfamiliar and it only increased the nerves inside of him. He sniffed around; smelled the familiar stench of pavement that felt heavy and yuck on his tongue but he had to know where he was! He had to or else how would he ever get back home? The dark mass beneath his pads was scorching as he took his first steps out of the grass and onto the road making him gingerly walk in a way like that of a wobbly kit just learning to first walk as he tried to ease the pain on his sensitive toe beans. But then he felt it, the vibrations beneath his feet, the sound of a roaring mass coming from the side causing him to turn his head; it took him a few moments to realize it was and for a moment his heart lifted thinking he was going to get picked up; that his owner had returned for him after all. And so he stood in the middle of the road staring at this dark mass of metal that was bearing down on him so certain it was his owner and that it would slow down...his heart rate picked up when he realized it wasn't slowing down and he scrambled forward trying to outrun the stupid thing not realizing that he wasn't running away from it but actually running ahead - right in the direction of where the metal beast was driving and it was gaining fast! And then something barreled into him causing him to wail in surprise as he was tackled off the side of the road; a body crouching over him as the beast zoomed past with breath so fowl it actually made him gag a bit as he crouched trembling out of terror beneath a feline that had just saved him. He did not feel the heat of pavement or the voice of his savior through the ringing of his ears cast by the demon that had nearly killed him. He couldn't help but wail pitifully. "I want my mother!" phantomstars |

]Biography (sheet) |
Appearance: A small brown British Short Hair tom with a round flat face and big dark amber eyes; has cataracts that is slowly making him lose his sight so his eyes over time began to cloud Description: The one thing people don't realize about Teddy is that he is actually a rather Brilliant individual. If it has to do with information about the world around him in a technical sense of the word you'd be amazed at the comparisons this boy spews. He has no filter and anything he says comes out as a bit show off but it's just him sharing his love of information to you in the only way he knows how with the way his brain works around the lack of senses he is still learning to cope with. Because of his learning curve at such a young age Teddy finds everything brilliantly fascinating and Colorful but not in the sense of colors of the rainbow but more out of how he feels about it. As someone who enjoys learning and is surrounded by nature Teddy finds connection within the forest and the earth beneath his paws. Because of his lack of social skills he finds comfort and an Empathetic nature with creatures and plants around him. He would rather talk to himself and a butterfly or coax a flower to bloom than to speak comfortably in front of another feline. While he is not keen on finding a connection with other felines besides his care taker and other creatures around him he is a Friendly soul who'll talk your ear off about anything trivial. If you try to talk to him on a personal level he disconnects from you but he at the end of the day you'll not find anyone as Honest whether good or bad then Teddy as he had never learned that certain social interactions require a certain amount of respect and technicality that he jut doesn't possess. A lot of people find him very Absentminded especially when he mentally disconnects from others during the brief and rare feline encounters that he has. He doesn't try to be but his mind is much like a big two leg nest with many rooms with only keys that he has to unlock it's doors. His mind is very Complex and not a lot of people know how to handle his way of coping except for maybe his handler who has learned his ticks and triggers. As an empathetic person when it comes to other living beings with it comes the Emotional trait of feeling far too much. He doesn't know how to express himself so it can be confusing if his reactions are not warranted to the scene that has taken place. He doesn't mentally cope the way normal cats do but he is an Impressionable sort who loves to learn. If you are someone he lets in and find comfortably with he will take into account your actions and your reactions and make a conscious effort to replicate it as it slowly learns emotions and how they work socially because he does wish to be liked. To put things into perceptive Teddy is a handful and he can be clingy. Very very Dependent on his care taker and those close to him as even such a small creature that he is has melt down and often feels as if his disability of lack of sight makes him feel worlds away and he needs someone there to pick him back up. He goes through his phases of mood swings as well that often make people give him odd looks because when he gets over stimulated by something he gets Excitable and often hard to handle; the best course of action is just to let him blow his steam and give him a safe space to do so even if it means taking him away from a place to put him in another. When he gets excited he often goes through periods of Forgetful episodes as his brain still tries to catch up with his body so don't get too over butt hurt if he doesn't remember what happened or what was said when he flies into an excitable episode. It's nothing personal. while still so young and impressionable as he is the most Gullible and naive boy there is. Wanting to be loved and understand the world is hard so he tries to do what he can no matter if it's right or wrong to be able to make an impression for others to like him and that often gets him into trouble. Because Teddy is still learning and coping the best he can while trying to regulate his own emotions about his circumstances he is someone people will call Reactive. This could be both a bad thing or a good thing depending on the circumstances of his mood and what he got himself into. On a good day his reactive personality is that of a young child learning something new and finding wonder in the world around him while on a bad day he can be the bane of his own existence and often needs extra comfort. |
