Even as he wracked his head for a better name, Chester couldn't think of a thing. The names he offered were so plain and simple. They didn't seem like good names at all. But, looking at the kit, if he was okay with it, shouldn't they be fine? Even so, Chester felt uneasy about it. He didn't want the little one to suffer because of his poor naming sense.[break][break]

Despite his unease, the kit seemed fine with the name Stone. "Stone it is. My name is Chester." But Chester was troubled. A name was the first step, and he felt like he hadn't done a great job with it. Already, he was failing to be a better parent than his mother had been. Having been abandoned, maybe he just wasn't cut out for parenting.[break][break]

Chester sighed, this was harder than he'd imagined. "Let's go meet a friend of mine" he said gently, "She knows more about healing than me. She can help you." She might be a better fit for you, too. It had only been a day and he'd already made a myriad of mistakes. Surely, there were much better paws out there to take care of Stone.[break][break]

Turning worried eyes on the horizon, he nestled around the newly-anointed Stone. Would this really be okay? "We'll rest for a bit first." He really hoped this would be okay.[break][break]
