Welcome to Info Drive Discussion #10! In this thread, we’ll be discussing the Predator Badger. Here are things to consider when responding to this thread, so if you have thoughts on any of the following please feel free to add them! And if you’re a bit unsure as to what exactly this is about, there’s a thread about the Info Drive system here. Size: How big is this predator in relation to a cat? Danger: How dangerous is it to confront this predator? How many cats would generally it take to successfully drive it off? Location: Where is this predator commonly found? Are there certain areas they appear more frequently than others? Season: Does this predator appear during certain times of year? Is it less common in some moons than others? This thread will be open for discussion until March 31st, 2023! After that it will be locked and whatever we have decided on will be considered canon!

- European badgers are huge, at least three to six times larger than cats in size. Height-wise, they might be around the same, but badgers are definitely not a predator to mess with.
- Badgers would generally keep away from cats unless provoked or acting defensive (such as guarding a nest). As the largest land predator in the UK, they pose a big threat to any lone cats. It would likely take two or three or more cats to drive off a badger.
- They’re found in woodlands, shrubbery, and pastures. In-game terms, that might translate to the Moors (Sparse Hollow), Plains (Beech Copse), Forest (especially Bramble Thicket), Horseplace or the Abandoned Barn.
- They don’t hibernate but are less active during leaf-fall leafbare. They are most active during mating season in early newleaf.
