Here are things to consider when responding to this thread, so if you have thoughts on any of the following please feel free to add them! And if you’re a bit unsure as to what exactly this is about, there’s a thread about the Info Drive system here. Cause: How does this condition occur? Why does it happen to a cat? Symptoms and Signs: How does this condition present in a cat? How would a medicine cat or other healer be able to diagnose it? How or what would a cat with this condition feel? Effect: What impact does this condition have on a cat? What consequences can there be if it’s left untreated? Treatment: How would a medicine cat or other healer go about treating this condition? This thread will be open for discussion until March 31st, 2023! After that it will be locked and whatever we have decided on will be considered canon!

Ah, the classic Warriors disease! - Greencough is a severe chest infection that develops and worsens after whitecough. It is contagious and caught during the colder seasons of leaf-fall and leafbare. Greencough is similar to pneumonia in real life. If not contained or quarantined, greencough can wipe out significant numbers in a clan.
- Symptoms include difficulty breathing, coughs (that produce green phelgm), fever, body aches, shivering, loss of appetite, rheumy eyes, etc.
- If left untreated, the disease can kill cats. It affects breathing and causes body pains, may make cats feels fatigued.
- To treat greencough, catmint (or catnip) is the go-to herb for curing this illness. Borage or tansy are also used if fevers accompany greencough.
