Date: Pray 12, 2021 |@kaeldra Wander squealed in glee as the she-cat asked about dynasty cats. It was the first time in awhile someone took interest in it, and it's the River clan leader to boot! Oh this was so exciting! He hopped up, pacing back and forth.
"OH! OH! Where do i even start!? Uh- uh- Oh! I know! When I was a itty bitty kitty my sister, ginger-snap- or I think that's what her name is! Heh, it's been awhile. Told me stories of the dynasty cats! Heroic tales as they fought against another evil knights, calm tales about their every day life's, epic tales about Herb cats talking to ghosts in the Galaxy Crystal!
Takes about how the Dynasty hierarchy got granted nine-maybe ten?-lives! And how they lived in groups of hundreds! And.."
Wander went silent for a moment, seeming somber. Stoping his erratic movements.
"Then there was a big fight- battle- or something, and they killed each other.
...
I just don't get why they would do that"
He shifted his paws slightly in thought, looking at the ground. "My grandma always said it was the night the earth was stained red. I'm not really sure what a earth is, but it sounds scary." Wander stood there for another long moment, in silence.
After awhile his ears popped up, and he bounced over to shellspots. Like nothing happened.
"So, what do you know about dynasty cats?"

Shellspots || she/her || 43 moons Shellspots’ tail tip flicked idly back and forth as she listened to the strange tom ramble. It certainly sounded a lot like the Clan legends she knew, though with a few key differences or additions. It was to be expected, she supposed, that not all tales would be the same. She had zero inkling of where the term “dynasty” had come from or what a Galaxy Crystal was. But the idea of the herb cats, the hierarchy getting many lives, and the big fight that ended them… it had to be based on the Clans. She just knew it.
As the tom bounced forward, invading her personal space, she gently held out a paw to stop him. He was certainly an odd one, this cat. Flipping between moods at the drop of a leaf.
“I don’t know them by that name,” she replied, gaze thoughtful. “But that sounds very similar to the Clan legends I was told by my mother growing up. Of the four legendary Clans that used to walk this forest, and which I am now trying to bring back to life. They also had herb cats – medicine cats – and there was a large battle many seasons ago that brought about their end. They were called ThunderClan, WindClan, ShadowClan, and of course, RiverClan. Did your Dynasty cats have similar names?”
She wondered how closely the legends resembled each other. Would there be large differences, or would they be mostly the same? Perhaps she could gain useful information from this encounter, and it wouldn’t all be a loss.

Date: Pray 12, 2021 |@kaeldra Wander stopped to think. Did the groups have different names? He supposed He had heard the called a few things before. He rocked back and forth, before simply shrugging
"Not sure, my sister mentioned there were different groups, but never really mentioned them by name."
Wander hummed again. Looking outside the den in thought. His ear occasionally twitching. Mind drifting off, mostly thinking about Roots. Maybe after this he should go say hi to Roots. No, he should probably go find Susie. He hasn't seen in..what? Five? Ten? Moons. He had a feeling shell- uh- fur? The River clan leader and Susie would get along. Both big strong she-cats
"Susie.." He mumbled under his breath, before shaking his head. He turned back to the gray she-cat. If she said anything before he didn't hear her.
"Hey, shell fur lady? Do rock's just get up and walk? The ghost's in the tunnels seem to make it out as the Galaxy Crystal probably just disappeared after such a long time, but I don't such a magical rock can poof into dust! Do you know where it is? Or have you seen a walking rock?"
Wander asked, starting to bounce in place once more.

Shellspots || she/her || 43 moons Well, that was a dead end. Wander didn’t seem very interested in her question about the names of Dynasty cat groups, and began fidgeting and looking around distractedly again. Shellspots sighed. She supposed she should have expected this, with his previous statements.
As the strange tom seemed to zone out for a moment, Shellspots wondered if she should call it a night and ask him to leave. She was still exhausted, and she already had another task to add to her to-do list tomorrow: talking with Lilypaw about her choice to attack an intruder by herself in the middle of the night. Perhaps they should think about assigning a guard while the rest of the camp was asleep; mentally she added having a meeting with Flare, Prowl, and Pandora tomorrow to the list as well.
Then Wander spoke again, breaking her out of her reverie. Shellspots’ ears twitched irritably at the way he referred to her– how rude! She was about to rebuke him for it, but the rest of his sentence ran on before she could. The anger was immediately replaced with a wild sense of urgency as his words registered.
“A magical rock? Is that what your Galaxy Crystal is?” Shellspots asked, ears pricked forward with interest. There was no way this was a coincidence; this had to be related to Canarypaw’s prophecy. “I highly doubt a rock can get up and walk on its own, but the power of StarClan knows no bounds. Perhaps they moved it for some unknown reason.” A pause, as her tail flipped back and forth. “Tell me more about these ghosts. What exactly did they say?”
And why did they talk to you instead of me? She couldn’t help thinking, just a little bitterly.

Date: Pray 12, 2021 |@kaeldra "Well uh- Their names were beamcha- no, no. Sunchaser and Fieldflight! I think Sunchaser was Fieldflights mentor or something, whatever that means. Fieldflight mentioned something about Starclan, is that one of the Dynasty cats groups? Oh-OH! And Fieldflight said they lived in Windclan before they died. And uhm..."
Wander hummed to himself, brows knitted together in thought. Rocking back and forth
"Roots said they couldn't leave the tunnels, I don't remember if they said why or not. Oh-Wait! It was because thats where they died, that's why they couldn't leave. And Fieldflight said they didn't remember where the Galaxy- No, no. They called it the MoonStone! That's right. Yeah they said they couldn't remember where it was."
Wander stopped rocking. "And uhm...I think that's all." He Said, turning back to the river clan, smiling one of his famous erie smiles. Ear twitching abit.
"Was that helpful, miss RiverClan leader?"

Shellspots || she/her || 43 moons Shellspots’ curiosity was rewarded as Wander rambled on, oblivious to the weight his words held.
StarClan had spoken to him! She quickly committed the names Sunchaser and Fieldflight to memory; even if they were WindClan ancestors, rather than RiverClan, if she were to ever speak with them herself it would be beneficial to make a good first impression. And perhaps, if she met a WindClan descendant someday, she could pass along the information. Shellspots didn’t quite understand what he meant about the tunnels, but that was one of the less important aspects of this conversation.
Then he dropped another useful nugget of information. The Moonstone. That had to be the gleaming, glowing stone from Canarypaw’s prophecy. If that was what StarClan called it, that would make it easier to ask around about. So far they’d only garnered a lot of concerned looks when inquiring about shiny rocks.
Shellspots smiled, genuine this time. He had been a great help after all. StarClan worked in mysterious ways, she had to remind herself.
“Yes, that is very helpful, thank you for sharing. It seems there’s still a lot I don’t know about StarClan.” She wondered if perhaps she had misjudged the tom; he was a bit bumbling, and very strange certainly – his attempt at a smile would have worried her if she had not just spent the last while talking to him. But it seemed his intentions were good.
Suddenly another thought occurred to her.
“Actually, Wander, may I ask you one more thing?” Judging by his fidgeting it seemed he was ready to move on, but she hoped he would humour her. “Who is this Roots you speak of? They seem to know a lot about the Clans. I would love a chance to talk to them myself.”

Date: Pray 12, 2021 |@kaeldra "Uh- a cat I met in the moors! They were nice, though I don't really know much else." Wander fidgeted with his paws, staring out the entrance to the den. "They seemed really friendly with the ghosts. They seemed like they might be a Herb cat."
Wander blinked, seeing the sun come over the horizon. Had he really been here that long? He only intended to scope out the camp, but wander suppose this was preferable. It's not like he had anything else to do today. Though at this point he felt he was answering, more than asking.
Wander turned back to the leader "I think I broke their back. oh and their a brown tabby with green eyes, If that that helps any." He said abit dismissively. Wander turned his attention back to the rising sun, he would love to look around the camp, but Wander had a feeling Shell Spots wasn't going to allow that. Maybe he should ask more questions? She would probably just shut him down again.
Wander stretched then walked out of the den, squinting at the harsh sunlight. He looked back at her.
"I should probably get going.." He started, smelling the air. "I have cats that possibly eat other cats to find, I heard they live in the woods!"

Shellspots || she/her || 43 moons Shellspots was pleasantly surprised with what she had managed to garner from this conversation, when she originally had thought it would be an annoyance and nothing more. The added fact that this other individual, Roots, might have some healing knowledge was certainly appealing. Canarypaw needed a true mentor, though she was sure StarClan was doing their best to train the young she-cat.
The silver tabby followed Wander’s gaze to the tunnel entrance, where they could see the sun beginning to peek over the horizon. With a sigh, she supposed it was nearly time to start her day. So much for getting a bit more sleep.
She was about to say as much, but the black tom was faster and her eyes widened at his mention of... breaking Roots’ back? She frowned in concern; hopefully he was just being his strange self and he hadn’t actually killed the poor thing. Shellspots watched as Wander stood, stretching, and walked back out into the camp before excusing himself in a particularly odd manner.
“Well, I wouldn’t want to keep you from your important tasks,” she said as she followed him out into the sunshine, grinning slightly. “I suppose I’ve got duties to attend to myself. Thank you for your information, it will be most useful.” She paused for a moment, then added in a slightly sterner voice, “And I hope you’ll remember to be more sensible next time you’re in RiverClan territory. You got lucky this time with Lilypaw, but if you trespass again I have some strong warriors that won’t hesitate to shred you into minnow food.”
Despite her thinly-veiled threat, Shellspots didn’t hold it against the tom too much. She was very happy with her newfound lead on the prophecy. The Moonstone prophecy.
