Her fur fluffed up against the faint chill of the breeze that blew past her but she was that much more grateful for the sunlight that filtered through the clouds in the sky. She'd been running around since early this morning before even the sun rose into the sky. By the position of the sun, she'd guess it was somewhere in the early afternoon. But she was tired and if the gurgling in her stomach said anything about her condition; she was hungry. Miku groaned rolling onto her side to stretch and stare up at the sky above her. She didn't want to move but her stomach demanded that she'd get food so she flipped over gracefully to her paws and shoot off the grass from her grey fur. Her green eyes peered around the clearing in which she'd been lying down and gave a thoughtful hum. With the chilly weather as of this moon prey was getting more and more scarce, that's why she had to be smarter with how she obtained her meals every day.
She could hear the rush of water and knew she was nearby some kind of stream or river of sorts. It'd be a good place to hunt in the water if the rush of the flow wasn't too bad, or half-frozen over for that matter. But, if she wanted to fill the ever-going tug of hunger that was becoming a black hole inside of her she'd risk the water's current for a fish or two for her meal. Making up her mind for the best course of action the smokey female pushed off at a brisk trot towards the sound of water that led her not too long after to a water bank. Miku paused at the edge of the bank and peered into the flowing current, it was not frozen over. That was a good sign. So maybe fishing for food wouldn't be that much harder since it was loose flowing liquid instead of a sheet of ice.
She crouched, peering past her reflection into the water to see the flicking and flashing scales of the fish beneath the surface swimming past. If she fell in with one wrong move she knew she'd freeze her tail off soon enough. She patiently waited though for one to come by; knowing that it might not be easy because of her shadow.
She reached out tentatively to have her paw ready in midair. Might as well get in position and wait to see. Ice droplets of water sparkled in the dim light as she struck the water; claws clutching at a wiggling scaled form of a fish from the water and tossed it onto the bank. She quickly bit into it to kill it, happy at her kill she peered down but that smile dimmed to see the size of it.
"Well, not as big as I'd hoped. I'd need a few more of these small fries to fill me up but it's better than nothing I suppose." she murmured to herself before lowering down to take a bite when a movement at the corner of her eye stopped her. Miku rose to her paws and peered in that direction. Oh she wasn't seeing things she knew as soon as she saw the fluff of another feline.
Forcing a smile the smokey short haired molly hooked the fish with her claws and flung it in the air towards the figure. Whether the feline was looking for food or not; friend or enemy it did not matter to Miku. But, she wouldn't see another go hungry on a day like this when she was able to catch her own and some may not. She didn't know if they were stalking her or if they were a part of this territory but Miku did not mind the company as long as they were friendly enough not to kill her on sight.
"Go ahead and eat that. It's not much and I don't know if your hungry but I don't pass by strangers without at least offering something." in all honesty, Miku was looking for a companion. Not a mate per-say but she had been alone for awhile she was yearning for company of another feline to talk to.
