Due to the nature of this game and its plot, cats will inevitably come together to form groups and eventually recreate the four Clans. Other groups will be permitted, however the main focus will remain on the Clans.
Creating a group all starts in-character; you can discuss with your fellow members in the Plot Discussion board, on our Discord Server, or even just though private messaging to arrange some cats meeting and sharing ideas. Once threads are locked and added to the Timeline, it's canon! However, all cats will be considered Solitaries until their group is official in game.
To be considered official, a group application must be submitted. Groups which are official will get their own section in the Allegiances, and any players with high ranking characters will have to submit a separate application.
If you'd like to apply to have your group officially recognized by the site, it will have to meet the following requirements:
To apply for official group status, the member playing a leader of the group must create a thread in the Group Management Board and fill out the following form.
Name of the Group: Put the name of the group here. This is the name that will be shown in the Allegiances, Census, and Timeline when the group is approved.
Members of the Group: List all group members here, with links to their character sheets. Each member should also have a rank of some sort listed here.
Group Structure: Give a description of what your group’s hierarchy is like. What ranks are there, and what are the duties of each? Who holds the power in the group, and how are they chosen?
Group Formation: Link the thread in which the group was formed here.
Any players who will be playing high ranked cats within the group, such as leaders, deputies, medicine cats, or any equivalents in different types of groups will also be required to submit an application for their character’s position of authority. These applications will be processed at the same time so nothing gets held back.
Due to the complexity of this section of the site, these applications may take some extra time to work through. If your application hasn’t been checked in over a week, though, feel free to contact a staff member.

If you'd like to apply to have your group officially recognized by the site, it will have to meet the following requirements:
- The group has a minimum of 5 cats, three of which must be played by different members. One member can have multiple cats in the group, of course, but there will need to be at least three “real people” behind the characters.
- There is an established hierarchy. There must be a clear sense of how power is distributed through the group, such as any different positions within the group, leaders and how they are chosen, and other factors. A group of cats thrown together with no structure will not work here.
- The group must have a leader or leaders. Any other official high positions are not necessary at the time of creation.
- At least one moon (two IRL months) must have passed since the group has formed. As soon as two cats meet in-character and decide to build a Clan, this timer starts ticking down, no need to have all other requirements met first.
