If you'd like for your cat to be assigned an official genotype, you've come to the right place! Whether you want your cat to be able to have kits, or if you just think it would be neat to have, here is where you can request a genotype for any of your characters.
All you have to do is reply to this thread with a filled out version of the form below. Genotypes can sometimes take a bit to create, but generally they should be done within about a week of being requested, and usually sooner. If it's been longer than that, feel free to give Kaeldra a poke as a reminder.
Here's the form, with explanations for each field:
Name: The cat's name, with a link to their character sheet.
Relatives: Any direct relations that should be taken into consideration. This includes parents, siblings, and offspring; other family have no direct bearing on a cat's genetics and thus don't need to be included.
Specifications: If you have any specific genes you want your character to carry, you can mention them here. This includes things like carrying dilution genes, or long fur, or anything else you can think of. We'll do our best to accommodate your request!
Method: This is the method for determining how the genes that can't be accounted for by appearance, family, or specifications will be processed. You can choose either "Random" (a random generator based on the probability of each gene will be used) or "Consult" (a staff member will get in touch to ask about preferences for each gene).
And here's a blank version of the form for your convenience:
