One white paw after the other, an equally white tomcat padded through the tall grass, gaze pointed skyward at the lazy clouds drifting above. With a grin, he butted his cheek up against a frond of grass then tossed himself into the soft brush, rolling with a loud purr of content. "What a beautiful day! Thank you, powers that be, for this blessing. I must have done something right to earn this...Or, perhaps, I'm just banking on someone else's good fortune!" He laughed to himself as he laid on his back, soft belly exposed to the sky. In hindsight, this wasn't the safest position to be in in unknown territory, so the tom popped back up to his paws and continued on his way, pausing briefly to shake bits of grass out of his fur.
He had been traveling these lands for about a moon or so now, seeing the sights, taking in what the area had to offer. This, this field he had discovered, was the best place yet. The openness with the sky, the breeze that blew through the grass, the soft scent of wildflowers and the more pressing scent of hares...Yes, this was a good place. He had more searching to do, however. Cloud, as he was often called, was on a mission. The stories of the clan cats of old ran through his head all the time, so much that he had devoted his life to finding them. Finding, or, if the stars were in his favor, creating them once more.
...Ah, now that he stopped to think about it, and he did stop his walking to think...This place seemed like a good place for a Clan. WindClan, it was called, if he remembered correctly. Yes...He would have to do more investigating. For now, however, he was exploring. What he may find today was a delightful mystery, one he hoped to solve soon.
